In May of 2011, the man who directed me as Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, said that we were a "go" to produce A Superhero at McDonogh on March 2-4, 2012. Since then, we've had a handful of production meetings, built a set model, fine-tuned how the "superhero" elements of the show can happen on a stage and we've had some of the liveliest, most rewarding artistic conversations I've had in a long time.
Perhaps the most notable aspect of the last couple of months, though, is not what has been happening, but who it has been happening with.
